Raising funds for Oz Help

Donation protected
OzHelp is a national not-for-profit organisation that strives towards improving the mental health and wellbeing of people in the workforce and the wider community. In particular men in the construction industry and other hard to reach industries such as mining.

OzHelp’s beginnings stem from a series of life-changing events that occurred in 2000. A young building apprentice from Canberra, David O’Bryan took his own life. That same year three other young apprentices connected with the building and construction industry in the ACT, tragically committed suicide within a three-month period. These events brought together David’s mother Lorraine O’Bryan and representatives from the Master Builders Association and the CFMEU who sought action to address the wellbeing and care of industry apprentices.

Over the years Oz Help has provided a large amount of support to the Capital Veneering team through the use of regular health checks and counselling. This year we want to give back to the foundation by raising and donating funds to support the team and assist them in continuing to help others within the industry.

For each $1,000 raised, two of our team members will endure the well known 'Ice Bucket Challenge' at our annual Coast Trip on Saturday 10th March. The more we raise, the higher the authority that will freeze!
We need your help to reach our target and put Ben and James in the cold seat!!
