Raising Funds for Justin's Funeral

On behalf of Maria and Oswald, I Have started this GoFundMe page to raise as much money as we can to help the Ventanilla family who are heartbroken by the sudden and devastating loss of their young 12-year-old son Justin Ventanilla.
Here is Justin’s story:
Justin was 12 years old and the only son of the Ventanilla family. He made them proud each and every day. He was loving, caring, kind and compassionate and always a high achiever in school with a very bright future ahead of him.
Last week, Justin had complained of flu-like symptoms and was taken to the doctor only to be told it was viral. On Wednesday 23rd of August, Justin was rushed to The Children’s Hospital Randwick fighting for his life. He was diagnosed with a rare and severe condition called Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) which is a debilitating reaction causing the skin to blister and peel. Justin had one of the most severe cases of SJS his doctors had ever seen which caused him to lose the outer layer of his skin and making him prone to infection. As a result, he had to be treated like a burns victim in ICU. SJS was affecting him not only externally but also internally. He had high fevers and ulcers on his eyes which left him unable to see. He suffered from collapsed lungs and was resuscitated twice, put into an induced coma and placed on life support. Justin fought extremely hard against SJS in this short time with his loving mum and dad by his side every minute who never gave up hope or lost their faith. Sadly, Justin’s condition was deteriorating rapidly with each passing day. His internal organs began to fail and because his kidneys were no longer able to function properly on their own he was then placed on dialysis. It is with great sadness and sorrow to say that our little Justin could not fight anymore and on Friday September 1st 2017, Justin was called to his heavenly home with God.
As this horrible syndrome appeared so suddenly and taking Justin within the week of being diagnosed, the Ventanilla family have had no time to prepare. Whilst they are still in shock and dealing with the devastating passing of their beautiful son, I would like to allow them the time to grieve the loss of Justin without the worry, stress and financial burden of planning a funeral as this is something no parent should ever have to go through. My hope is to raise as much money as I can to assist them through this devastating time so please share this page publicly and help spread the word.
