Raising funds for Jesus Rehabilitation Church
The Jesus Rehabilitation Church (JRC) is an online church that currently meets through Zoom. We are a non-denominational church . Our roots go deep, going as far back as 25 years in the California Youth Authority, which was a prison for youth who had committed violent crimes. Some of us were gang entrenched and we sold out our lives for the neighborhoods in which we belonged.
The Protestant Chaplain and his volunteer mentors of the Fred C. Nelles Youth Authority in Whittier California found a way into
the hearts of the youth who willingly came. The Chaplain encouraged his mentors to accept these youth for who they were and to treat them with the same grace God continues to give us.
The Chaplain focused on the saving message of Jesus Christ, and we were all forever changed by the free gift of Eternal life. No matter where we were spiritually; everyone was treated as family on day one. Not one of us ever forgot how great it felt to be so
loved at the lowest point of our lives.
So it’s nothing short of a series of miracles that we are gathered today and for over the last two decades we have always had this vision to give back what was once given to us. As formally incarcerated gang members we realized that we all have powerful
life stories and experiences to reach youth who were once like us;lost and angry.
We started this fund raising for 2 reasons, first we want to use this Church as a platform to keep us focused, organized and trained. Secondly we need more powerful people like you who
believe in our cause, and can support us in whatever way is comfortable for you. What ever you can afford we are gratefully thankful, however if you are going to give; please give it cheerfully! We want you to be excited about this!
We have 3 major goals, our first goal is for you to help us cover the costs of bringing our Church into 501c3 compliance so we can be officially be recognized by California with the ability to support our donors. Our second goal is to bring our current mentoring program into a separate nonprofit, and lastly we dream that one day we can have a place like some of us had; a safe and supportive residence so our clients can grow into their new lives.
We have already begun meeting and planning, your gifts will help us take the necessary steps to accomplish these goals. With your support we will be able to provide proper notifications that
will keep you well informed of our progress and growth. Your support is crucial and we will forever be in your debt and together we can reach more of these youth who deserve this opportunity! Thank you for your time and God Bless.
