Liam ‘CLARKY’ Clark, played for North Wirral Saints as their goalkeeper for 10 seasons. Their home pitch is Central Park in Liscard, Wallasey. The idea is to get a permanent bench in the park, positioned behind one of the goals, so that his current team mates, family, friends and any member of the public who walks through the park can take a moment to sit on the bench, reflect and remember Clarky. There are no other benches this side of the park either so it will be nice for the children, adults, dog walkers and other residents who walk through this busy park to have something to sit on. Hopefully when Clarkys baby boy is old enough, he will be able to come to the park, sit on the bench and look at the goal that his Daddy played in for all those years.

Liam was 21 years old when he died. At the time his baby boy was just 3 months old, and he also left behind his girlfriend.

Once we have raised the amount of money targeted, Go Fund me will take a percentage off that final total. We will need to pay for the bench from WBC and also get a plaque for it also. If there are any left over funds they will be donated to Liams Football team North Wirral Saints, with the idea if the funds to help produce a special memorial kit in honour of Liam as he is always remembered for wearing his silver North Wirral Saints goalkeeper shirt.
