Raising for Riana

Donation protected

We all know what it feels like to be scared of something; to be scared of losing something more specifically. But usually those are material things, or people close to us we love.

But what happens when the thing you’re now afraid of losing turns out to be a literal piece of you? And not just any piece, but one that allows you to do what your body was designed for.

Now imagine just turning 25 years old and having to accept the fact that you’re about to lose an ovary.

For the last few years Riana has been suffering  with random excruciating pains and nausea.

“I feel like I’m dying” was the only way she could explain her pains to others

Since Riana has had a history of ovarian cysts from the age of 13, she just assumed the pain was from a rupturing cysts.

When she would seek medical attention to try and get to the bottom of whatever was going on, doctors would brush her off and ignore her apparent symptoms. Until she finally found a doctor who took her and her pain seriously.

This was when she found out, after years, why she had been suffering and drowning in her previously ignored pain.

What they found was a VERY large mass on Riana’s left ovary, which alone is only 3cm in size.

The mass discovered? Measured in at an alarming 10cm by 8cm monster; completely taken over and destroyed the ovary.

Tomorrow, February 13th, Riana goes in to have this invader removed. We are hoping whatever they find is benign. So fingers crossed and prayers requested to whoever you believe in!

Riana will not be able to work or generate income from her personal business after surgery, and we are hoping for a quick recovery of about a week (yes we are optimistic about this!), BUT depending on what they find, she was told she could wake up with multiple incision sites which could mean for a longer recovery.

The medical bills are adding up QUICK, insurance doesn’t cover much (she is still in the hole with insurance from this already). Riana is an extremely talented Lash Artist out of the state of Florida. I have watched her go from the bottom to the top in this industry, working her butt off every single day.

Riana is someone who puts out only good into the world; always trying to help and make people smile and sharing as much positivity as she possibly can, all while fighting her own demons.

She doesn’t deserve this, no one does, and that’s why I’m putting this together for her. To not only keep her on her feet and moving forward, but to spread awareness to women to start standing up for their health - you know when someone isn’t right, push and push until someone takes you seriously. ALWAYS.

* Updates will be posted. Every little bit and every share helps more than you can imagine!
