Raisin' It For Rise'

Donation protected
We recently became aware that someone we have known and loved for years has been an inspiration to many more people than we had realized.  Our longtime friend Risé Cogswell cares for babies weekdays at East 91st Street Christian Church, where she has also been a member for more than 20 years.  Weekends she is usually serving in some capacity to help facilitate one of the local amateur athletic events that together attract several thousand participants every year.  With her having such an active schedule it was a shock to us when Risé was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in May of 2018.  Her courage and determination have inspired us as well as the many people Risé regularly engages with.

August for Risé began with Whipple Surgery to remove the cancerous tumor from her pancreas.  The recovery from this surgery is extensive and lengthy, requiring Risé not to work until further notice.  Her insurance does not cover medication, outpatient services, or home health care.

We are asking for your financial support to help Risé remain focused on recovering.  We are asking for your continued prayers because we have already seen your prayers become reality.  We appreciate deeply whatever and however you can contribute.  And we hope you will find inspiration as Risé continues to regain her strength.
