buy a portable ultrasound for trinity hospice

Hello, Hello, Hello.

My uncle Carl De Rome passed away on the 20th February 2023 after a short battle with stomach cancer. During his final months he became quite frail due to his poor nutritional intake and he had a build up of ascites (fluid on the stomach) of which caused him some discomfort and pain. To drain this fluid he had to be admitted into hospital a further two times (after a 3 week stint in November) of which he caught further infections and had to spend more time stuck in hospital. It was also quite difficult to get him in and out of the house into hospital due to his condition. Trinity hospice can provide this service in the community however at the time that Carl was unwell there machine was broken therefore he had to go into hospital of which took precious days off him that he could of spent at home.

I am hoping to raise funds in honour of him to help Trinity Hospice purchase that piece of equipment to help patients like Carl have this treatment done in the comfort of there own home and to avoid further hospital admissions. The particular piece of equipment needed for this procedure is The Vscan Air app which is intended for diagnostic ultrasound examinations, image guidance and for measurements of anatomical structures and fluid.

The fluid build from the stomach cancer was Carl's biggest symptom and I know he would love to know we could help other people in similar situations avoid having to go into hospital.
