Help my breast cancer treatment & recovery journey

Donation protected

Many of you know me (and my smiley face above) as Brenda, Lady B, Mama Brenda and Brennie. I'm a daughter, big sister, wife, mum to three little kiddies as well as a friend and colleague to many of you.

I am not one to share difficulties in my life, as I rather prefer to focus on the positives, but following my breast cancer diagnosis in August 2023, it has been humbling to reflect and accept that life is not all laughs and smiles.

In a short space of time cancer has taught to be brave and confide in the many people who love and care for me. I am grateful to everyone who has been there for me and my family - praying, listening, sharing my tears and practically helping as I go through this journey. I view this situation as an opportunity, which I am determined to come through with a joyful heart and bigger smile.

Current position
I recently had surgery this year and further treatment is required. At this critical time, I am asking for any financial support to help me with my recovery using some of the latest therapies in the UK not currently provided by private insurers or the NHS. These include...
-hydrobaric (oxygen) therapy
-hyperthermia (heat) therapy
-insulin potentiation (low dose trageted chemotherapy)
-nutritional support for estrogen dominance

I realise that this is a life time long journey to full health firstly for myself, but also so I can be around for my young family and friends. I will update you on this platform as my journey progresses.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and helping me raise funds to support my breast cancer journey, in the most holistic and life affirming way possible.

With Love

B x

Update - 14 March 2024
I had my second surgery today in the same breast as a further cancer had been found after my previous operation. It’s been a bit disheartening having to go through this again but I’m grateful they found it early and have been able to remove it. I am continuing with oxygen therapy as it really helped with my healing after the last surgery. I will know more about the next steps post-surgery in a few weeks.

Limbo - 24 March 2024
I am ten days post surgery and feeling and despite the swelling and soreness, I’m feeling a lot better post surgery. I’ve managed to attend a few oxygen therapies which has helped as well. The hardest challenge is waiting to hear back from my consultants post surgery. I feel in mental limbo. Unable to move forward and to know what the next steps will be and when. It’s horrible waiting and drains energy from me because I worry and overthink everything. It’s hard to keep positive but what has kept me going is all the supportive messages, prayers and well wishes every day. Thank you all. x
