Hi everyone
Starting next year, I’m hoping to do a bit of fundraising for Endometriosis UK — beginning in January 2026 with the Winter Walk for Endo, where I’ll be walking 10km between the 19th and 25th of January.
As some of you know, I’m currently in the process of confirming an endometriosis diagnosis myself and have been for some time now.
Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women and can cause debilitating pain, fatigue, and a whole host of other symptoms you wouldn’t even think of. It’s an inflammatory condition that can spread throughout the body and has been found attached to almost every organ. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, research, and (very) long waiting lists, it takes an average of eight years to receive an official diagnosis.
Endometriosis can take over your life in so many ways, making it a very isolating condition. Endometriosis UK is working to change that — offering support, guidance, helplines, and funding for those with suspected or confirmed endometriosis. Their funding goes towards creating support groups, running helplines, raising awareness, and funding vital research into diagnosis and treatment options — all of which I’ve made use of myself and which have helped me so much.
So please, if you’re able to sponsor me in any way, it would mean the world
And if not, that’s absolutely fine too — thank you for simply taking the time to read this. Education is awareness, and that’s just as important.
