Raise £10,000 for Emmanuel Bakare!

Hello, my name is Emmanuel and I am one of the Elders at the Apostolic Church, Hackbridge (Sutton), which is one of the branches of the Apostolic Church UK denomination. Our church has been based in Hackbridge for a few years now, and our services are held at our Local Community Centre (All Saints Centre). As well as weekly services, we provide events for our community such as; Youth Group Meetings and Community Parades. Though we are very grateful for our privilege to use our Community Centre, it does not fully meet all the needs of the Church. As there are many other users of this centre, both space and time have become rather limited and as a growing assembly with more and more people attending, a larger space of our own has become necessary. Our aim is to purchase a building to accommodate our Church, which will not only provide more space but allow for unlimited time to hold our variety of services. Having our own place will fundamentally help us better serve our community and bring more people to Christ.
I am also very passionate about running, and I want to use my running abilities to benefit our church. I run almost every day in my local arena and park, and have participated in almost 10 different running competitions including the Milton Keynes Half Marathon and the Westminster 10k Vitality Competition. In aid of helping our Church purchase a new building, I am going to be partaking in the 2018 Milton Keynes Marathon for the first time, which has been one of my personal aspirations.
Finally, I would like to say that it has been the Church’s goal for over 20 years now to obtain a building of our own, and achieving this would benefit us immensely. Any donation given, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated not only by myself but by every member of our assembly too.
