Raincatcher Imperial - Water Walk
Donation protected
Raincatcher Imperial's annual Water Walk fundraising event is coming soon! In order to raise awareness of water related issues in Tanzania we will be carrying 10 litres of water each and walking 10 miles across Central London. The event is also being held in order to raise money for our upcoming summer project in Zeze, Tanzania!
Zeze is a village located in the Kasulu district of Tanzania, with a population of nearly 9000. Due to extensively long dry periods throughout the year, rainwater harvesting is not the best solution to their water problems. Instead, boreholes have been identified as the solution to local water scarcity. Each borehole costs £1400, and is able to provide villages with water access throughout the year.
With your donations we aim to provide a reliable water source to the local community of Zeze through these boreholes. Thank you for donating!
