Rain City Fit- The Best Place on Earth

Rain City Fit is my home, as it is for everyone who has walked through the door. What started as a Bootcamp 5 years ago has now become 2 beautiful spaces with hundreds of members, with every piece of equipment that you could ever need.


When you walk in you see a sign that says that everyone is welcome. When you look around you see that there are so many different types of people doing every type of fitness. From bodybuilding to dancing, to powerlifting, to CrossFit, to casual working out, everyone has a place. Every single person of different shapes, colors, sizes, and identities belong there. That is all thanks to Ben Koenigsberg, our fearless leader.


Ben is my co-worker, boss (kinda? what are titles), support, and most importantly, my friend. He has created a community that is so supportive and so loving that every person who comes in feels like they belong.  He knows the name and face of every member of the gym and greets everyone like an old friend. He or the gym have been the support that all of us have needed at one point or another. The gym is a sanctuary for us to be who we want to be and work through any problems that we have.


RCF has been closed since March 16 and has been unable to get help or funding since then.  This means that since everyone's memberships were put on hold, there is no money coming in with no end in sight. 


Ben would never ask anyone for help and will probably yell at me eventually for this, so I am asking you instead. Help me help the gym that has been there for all of us in one way or another. Let's use this beautiful community that we have to pull together.
