In honor of Dale Barthel, team "SSS" is running to raise money for ALS, and we need your support!
The 2018 SoCal Ragnar Race is a relay race consisting of a team of 12 members running a total of 200 miles over the course of 36 hours. Each member of the team runs 3 segments, with a total distance ranging anywhere from 15 - 25+ miles in total. This years race begins in Huntington Beach on April 6th and ends in San Diego on April 7th.
We are back for our second year and want to run for more than pride, which is why we have created this gofundme page. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder. Advancements in ALS research have provided significant new insights into ALS, how to classify those diagnosed, and develop effective treatments and cures.
Most people with ALS live 2-5 years after their first signs of disease. About 10% of people with ALS survive at least 10 years. This variable rate of disease progression makes prognosis difficult to predict and therapies challenging to develop.
With your donation, we can help battle this terrible disease and continue to work towards a cure.
