Sam's Medical Expenses

On February 27th, 2017 Sam suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot due to a dissected carotid artery. This is a rare occurrence that happens in 4% of the population. Sam is still in the hospital with no word when she will be released and is undergoing speech and occupational therapy. Dr's estimate approximately 10 months before the carotid artery will heal completely. Sam has age on her side but now that she is not able to work and does not have medical benefits, medical expenses are starting to add up.
