In aid of two Steps for Katie
The Challenge
A group of work colleagues from Doormotion are taking on the challenge of making a homemade raft and paddling the vessel all the way from Kinvara to Salthill. The event is a fundraising initiative to raise some vital funds for Two Steps for Katie.
Katie's Uncle Alan will be part of the team. Please Support Two Steps for Katie.

The Journey
The raft will set sail on Sunday the 1st of August. The crew will have to undergo some serious physical training over the next few weeks to be able to tackle the waters of the Atlantic ocean; You can follow their journey on the Raft2Salthill Facebook page. The team are hoping that covid-19 restrictions will have eased by then and they can have a crowd to welcome them on arrival at Salthill. They will be tested to the limit on Galway bay so they need your support. A full safety team will be in place on the day to ensure that the crew are kept safe while undergoing this rigorous task.

About Two Steps for Katie

On Friday the 30th of April, just four days after celebrating her 3rd Birthday while out playing in her back garden our beautiful Katie's whole life changed in a split second when she suffered a horrific machinery accident causing life changing injuries.
The following days resulted in numerous major surgeries including left foot amputation. Although this has been the most devastating blow imaginable not only to Katie but to her adoring parents & her best friends, her two sisters Hannah & Emily, Katie's journey is only starting!
Katie is going to need continuous surgeries, rehabilitation, care and constant adaptation of her prosthetic because of her young age.
The overwhelming costs of care, prosthetics and home adjustments to make her home suitable for her needs have left her family with a massive financial obstacle. This is where we need your help - The smallest amounts add up and will help "Two Steps For Katie" become a reality!!
