Raenahs Removal

Raenah is a 6 year old who has been fighting with her own body for a over year now. Unfortunately she takes after her mama inside and out and has Chronic Pancreatitis. Raenah and I have been in and out of Akron Children’s Hospital countless times already as well has been seeing specialists at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Raenah is smart, silly, full of energy, and loves ballet. However, what she is going through has been incredibly tough.  After SEVERAL trips to Cincinnati to find solutions to help Raenah, we have decided to do a TPIT (total pancreatectomy with an islet transplant.) The surgeon will completely remove her pancreas, gall bladder, spleen, and appendix. She will spend several week at Cincinnati Children’s in the ICU/admitted. After release we’ll need to stay in the Cincinnati area for several more weeks for follow up appointments until being released to go home. Raenah will also have a feeding tube and need to be on insulin until her body shows progress. This will be a LONG difficult journey for Raenah and for us, her family. I know we are incredibly blessed to have a wonderful support system and so many people who love and care for her. Many  have asked how they can help, and the biggest help we will need right now is funds to be able to stay in Cincinnati, child care for our other kids since I won’t be home, and other additional medical expenses we may incounter. (Raenah will be going home on an insulin pump and CGM.)  Again, thank you for supporting our journey! ❤️
