Raeleigh Pickering's Cancer Fight

On April 16, 2018 the Pickering family was celebrating the joy of welcoming their new daughter Raegan, especially Raeleigh. She was so excited about becoming a big sister. The joy was short lived when Raeleigh began not feeling well. Grandmother RoseMary and her Aunts Brittany and Lari had to bring Raeleigh to the doctor the next day. After many test and x-rays the results were that her white blood cell count was very high. Raeleigh was rushed to LSU where she was diagnosed with Cell B Leukemia.
The family was in complete shock. Shannon and RoseMary were with Raeleigh at University Health Shreveport due to Kasey and Baby Raegan still recovering from delivery in Natchitoches Regional Hospital. Kasey and Raegan were able to discharge for Kasey to be with Raeleigh since Raeleigh would be taken to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
The family has a very long and overwhelming journey ahead of them due to Raeleigh will have to begin treatment for 6 to 8 weeks to beat this evil cancer.
Raeleigh today has been in quarantine and has not been able to meet her new baby sister as of yet. To add to the sorrows the family is facing, Baby Raegan now has jaundice and had to be taken to a local hospital in Memphis to be taken care of.
Currently with both parents needing to be with Raeleigh during this time along with taking care of a new born, Shannon will have to take time from his employment. This is going to cause not only a financial strain, but a mental strain on the family not knowing if they will have finances to provide for both of their daughters during this time.
We are asking that if you can help with donations at this time it will be greatly appreciated, no gift is too small.
