Hi, my name is Sarah. I am a close friend of Rachelle and Kelly’s, and they have become an anchor for my family. They have huge hearts, sympathetic souls, and unbounded joy. I can only hope to be there for them as they’ve been there for me, by helping in their time of crisis.

Rachelle and Kelly have a bat infestation in their roof and walls. Every member of their family has been required to commute to Prince Albert to receive rabies vaccines—a whopping 47 needles for their family over the course of 14 days—and have sought help from conservation officers, health professionals, and roof-repair experts. Yet the bats remain. Their only and final option is to remove their roof entirely, have professionals relocate the bats because they are a protected species, and then rebuild the roof. There is no insurance, no government funding, no financial assistance for major renovation or bat relocation. The estimated cost of this work is between $60,000 and $100,000.

They feel hopeless and are worried about the health and safety of their family of five, houseguests, in addition to the structural integrity of their home. As winter approaches, it is urgent that work begin soon.
