Rachel Dean's Memorial

If you ever met Rachel Dean you would agree with me when I describe her as a firecracker who lit up the room and never met a stranger. Rachel was full of life and that rubbed off on everyone she encountered.
Unfortunately, Rachel lost her life in a tragic car accident on September 14, 2017.
Rachel's family knew that her passion was teaching and coaching. She spent many hours around a pool as part of her daily routine. Her family is wanting to continue Rachel's memory at Normal West High School by planting a tree and a bench in front of the pool atrium. Additional funds will be applied to a memorial for new starting blocks in the pool in Rachel's honor.
Rachel was a part of our fundraising venture that had begun this school year to raise money for new blocks. I know that she will be an angel looking down on all of the swimmers who will get to use them.
