Rabies Vaccination for Volunteers

SonFlower Ranch Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (SFRWRC) works with local rabies vector species in the state of CO -meaning our volunteers, interns and staff are required to get a pre-exposure rabies vaccine series in order to work with them. This series of 3 shots costs approximately $1,000 (total) and takes 3-4 weeks to complete. Currently this cost is passed directly to our volunteers and staff - donating to this fundraiser allows us to reduce or eliminate this financial burden from our generous volunteers.

100% of your donation will go to helping those who cannot afford the vaccine to get vaccinated. Staff and board members will chose volunteers who have been with SonFlower Ranch Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for a while and demonstrated a passion and desire to further our mission.

Helping our community members get this vaccination allows volunteers to take on more responsibility increasing the level of care each animal gets (more time per animal per person). Your gift also helps ensure we can take in more animals saving even more lives.

More information about SonFlower Ranch Wildlife Rehabilitation Center can be found at: https://sfrwildliferehab.com/ . SFRWRC has been organized to operate exclusively for charitable purposes, including, but not limited to the rehabilitation and release of orphaned, injured and sick wildlife, and to provide education and outreach programs for audience of all ages regarding rehabilitation, humane solutions to human-wildlife conflicts, and how to help Colorado's wildlife.
