Kim's Medical Fund

Hi everyone,

As you may know, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer. It was a hard blow to all of us, especially her.  After beating it once, it's not fair that she must endure this again. 

She is currently receiving chemo treatments once a month and must travel back and forth between Edam and Saskatoon (about an hour and a half commute), for said treatments and will undergo another opertation when chemo is complete.

Due to car issues she must travel via Greyhound which makes the travel process expensive and long. These car issues also affect her ability to travel to other doctor's appointments (outside of chemo) and run any errands at all.

Greyhound has also decreased the runs to Saskatoon and now only run very early in the morning and late at night, so she much now plan travel around when people can pick her up which is causing undue stress on the Edam side and extra taxi costs while in Saskatoon. 

We are also paying for the medications as they are not covered.

Unfortunately, during chemo momma is unable to work until treatments and her future operation are finished and healed, which will bring her into fall of next year. 

With the upcoming holidays, I'd love for her to not feel the burden of these financial issues and help her fix the car, get some groceries and assist with future travel. 

We need the funds as soon as possible as this month alone, she has two chemo treatments in Saskatoon due to an unfortunate reaction she had to her first treatment. Accommodations are taken care of as she stays with me during these trips.
