It takes a village...

When "i" is replaced by "we," "illness" becomes "wellness."
The time has come to inform you all that my sister Cheryl is facing the fight of her life. We are committed to doing everything we can to help her win that fight and we are going to need all of the help we can get! For years she has had to manage through her illness while working full-time to provide for her two young daughters as a single mother. Now that her illness has made it impossible to work and care for herself as well as the children we have decided to move her and her two young daughters, ages 6 and 8 from South Carolina to our home in Connecticut so that she can get the help she needs to get well. These funds will help cover her medical and moving expenses and help us get things for the girls they will desperately need such as beds and warm winter clothes and boots. Since they are coming from a warm climate they literally have nothing to wear in our cold New England winters.
This is not going to be a quick and easy recovery and there are no guarantees so every dime will make a tremendous difference in helping us provide what they need while they are here. For all of you who plan to give, please know how grateful we are for your help and how we cannot do this without you, our village. In fact, please feel free to share this with everyone because the more money we raise the more we will be able to help Cheryl and her girls. Thank you all so much and Happy Holidays!
Love,
Joi & Scott
