Opera Premiere of Romania: Revolution 1989 Soon!

UPDATE FROM ROMANIA!  November 1, 2019

Scott Williamson is in Timisoara preparing for the world premiere of Aaron Garber's opera "Romania: Revolution 1989"  American opera singer and director Scott Williamson received a Fulbright grant to go to Romania to teach at the Music School of West University Timisoara and work on the premiere of the opera.  He will also play the role of Nicolae Ceausescu in the premiere.

A big "thank you" to our donors who have supported our campaign since we launched the gofundme campaign back in August.  Since then we have raised over $15,000 and just need an additional $5,000 to meet our goal, so help us close the gap now.

The premiere performance will be held December 15, 2019 at the Romanian Opera House Timisoara.  We are grateful for the support of the Opera Rotary Club and West University, Timisoara, with assistance from Salem Rotary and Glenvar Rotary Clubs of Virginia, and Amherst Glebe Arts Response, Inc.
