Hurricane disaster relief

Donation protected
On August 26, 2020, hurricane Laura one of the most powerful storms in U.S. history came through Deridder, La. After 140 miles per hour winds, rain, and flooding, our city was severely impacted and destroyed. Our church was opened as a shelter to the members that needed to evacuate their homes for safety and those that were able to return from evacuation now struggle to navigate miles of uprooted trees, twisted metal, and torn roofing. Presently, we are dealing with the struggle of no electricity or running water. Our hearts break as we learn that many of our homes and businesses were completely lost, and major damage to our main sanctuary, resulting in a total loss. Several of our families are left with no home and no where to go. We are having to relocate the church temporarily to continue services. In response, many of you are asking how you can help. As we attempt to rebuild our community, we are organizing relief efforts to support those without power, running water, and basic necessities. With your help, we can provide toiletries, non-perishable food items, blankets, drinks, water, cleaning supplies and necessary housing equipment. We mourn with those who have lost, but we know that with your support, just as we have done before, we will rise again. Thank you for any donation. We are deeply grateful. We sincerely cherish your prayers during this season.
