Hey there!
I would like to share some exciting news of what is currently happening in my life! In February of 2017 I began attending RFA Church (Raleigh First Assembly). From my first visit to RFA to now I have seen my faith grow exponentially. One specific blessing that attending RFA has brought is the introduction to a ministry called YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Youth With A Mission, founded in 1960, is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. One way YWAM does that is through 5-month missionary training programs called Discipleship Training Schools (DTS).
In January I have an unbelievable opportunity to attend a DTS at YWAM Denver. I will be in the program with other young adults seeking to cultivate and use their gifts, specifically music, to spread the gospel. The program consists of two parts: discipleship training followed by outreach. During the outreach phase, we will be sent to a foreign country to put into action what we have been learning in the months prior. I am certain that God has called me to missions and to use my gifts to further His kingdom. I am beyond thrilled for this chance to be discipled and to become the woman Jesus has made me to be. What an honor it will be to go to a foreign land and be the hands and feet of Christ!
In order to do this, I need to develop a team of ministry partners… a group of people like you who would give to make my experience possible. As you might imagine raising the necessary funds will be one of my greatest steps of faith in preparation for the DTS. The total cost of tuition is $6,000 (due by March 5th) which covers room and board, food, and international travel. Would you prayerfully consider joining my team by donating?
