Homestead Repair

Due to health conditions (Heart Attack, Diabetes, & more) I can no longer do the repairs to our home on my own & are seeking financial help to pay for these repairs listed below as disability ($1,000.00 a month) just does not pay enough when a mortgage is involved.

Plumbing *(Has been repaired but we had to use money that was to go for the roof - $1,000)*

We currently have not had water in our home for over two weeks as the pipes has blown & we also had sewage backup. The plumber said it will take four hours & up to two eight our shifts to repair the plumbing at $125.00 an hour.

Septic Tank *(Insurance will not cover cost)*

We have also discovered that our septic tank has developed a hole in it from age & needs to be replaced. I have no idea what this will cost at this time but I know, it will not be cheap by no means.

Furnace *(Insurance will not cover cost)*

We recently (Late Winter) had our furnace worked on & was told that they “Jimmy Rigged” it to work but we need to replace it as it is a 1984 Heil Furnace & there are no parts available for it anymore.

Roof Replacement *(Insurance is now covering most of this cost – see above)*

The shingles on our roof are brittle & some have broken & blown off. I’m assuming this will cost around $4,000.00 to get done providing there are no underlying problems.

Our insurance company is aware of these issues & is in process of covering the cost of other issues that was caused by water damage due to the plumbing but what is listed above will not be covered.
