I'm Rylan Bennett, 26 years old, living in the Downtown East Side of Vancouve. I love the area. I've battled Bipolar type two disorder for a decade now with little to no success. I love drawing, skateboarding and anything in the outdoors, especially fishing. Also bacon. More than any of those is making friends and loved ones laugh till it hurts.
I'm hoping to reach out to the willing and able to achieve my goal in battling Bipolar type 2 disorder and to help pay the cost of intensive 26 weekly Dialectical Behavioural Therapy program that has been strongly recommend by not one but two psychatrists within the past month. I tried to take my life in January of this year, making it the third of this decade of battling this mental illness, and ended up having to make a couple more visits to the er to get my "coping mechanisms" stitched back up.
Needless to say, I am at risk of self harm and worse yet suicide. Time is of the essence. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy helps one get down to the bottom of those triggers where you have no time in your mind to reason with your feelings and emotions and work out a better sololution than risky coping mechanisms.
I've been unable to work over the past few months creating a huge financial struggle, hence my inability to find the money for this treatment. So whatever you feel you can donate to this cause would be greatly appreciated, no donation is too small.
I'll dedicate my myself to the treatment fully, I want to learn to love myself, I want to feel happy again.
