Robbie (Robin) NEEDS our help!!

Donation protected
In early 2017 my close, and long time friend Robin (Robbie to me) Mendez was not feeling well. His stomach was hurting and he didn't feel quite "right".  He attributed this to the stress of new career path, new job and training.
By March, the symptoms were getting worse and he decided it was time to go to the doctor.
In April, after many tests, the results were in with a diagnosis of Appendiceal Carcinomatosis...CANCER.  A very rare Cancer that is extremely difficult fight.

As with most things Robbie does, he faced this diagnosis head on.

So far, he has endured 3 surgeries and 4 rounds of Chemotherapy. The most recent round of chemo showed some signs of slight success. With that ray of hope, Robbie felt a change was needed.  After research and 2nd, 3rd, & 4th opinions, he made a switch to an innovative team of doctors and caregivers who offer stronger therapies and additional options to help cure this tragic disease.

Robbie is the epitome of Positive Believing/Thinking.  His attitude, strength, and outlook are an inspiration to us all.  His caregivers, as well as his family and friends, are in awe of his willpower and fight.  He has chosen to battle this evil disease and win. He does not allow his pain, sadness, or uncertainty show through.  Just one way he keeps his spirits up, as well as ours.

Robbie is not one to ever ask for financial help, and he isn't.
I am!
Recently, we have learned that not all the fees for the additional testing, treatments and scheduled clinical trials are covered by his insurance.  Not being able to work for the past year and a half is also contributing to the financial burden.  The mounting pile of bills is creating angst and the dread of the daily mail for him and his family.

We know Robbie will continue to smile and ease our fears, but there is an obvious need.  A need which we should be able to take care of for him. I am reaching out to you to ask for financial assistance to help Robbie continue to fight this battle of his life.

Thank you so much for your time, your consideration, and your generosity.  Please keep the prayers and well wishes coming. We all know he would be there for any of us if we needed him.
