Caring For Cathy

Recently Cathy had heart surgery which prevented her from working.   Surviving on Disability since August has made it hard to make ends meet as the sole provider for her family.    As we all know, Cathy has been working with the same MD for over 20 years.  Along with him and some other staff, Cathy was expecting to start a new position in October.  Unfortunately, Cathy was not healthy enough to be cleared medically to return to work at her current position and the staff moved as expected.  Due to that move and not having been medically cleared when and as expected - Cathy's position is no longer warranted.    Not working or having a steady income has now resulted in the loss of Cathy's medical benefits.    The new position waited months for Cathy,  but she had not been healthy enough to be cleared to go back to work.  So now Cathy cannot pay her rent,  medical expenses (including her needed prescriptions), food, car insurance and utilities.  Now Cathy has fallen behind on all of her expenses and contacted the new employer....  Unfortunately, they had to fill her position.
We all know that Cathy is one of the most selfless, loving and kind beings.  She gives so much of herself to everyone and has never expected anything in return.  We know that she is one of the hardest working, patient, compassionate beings.  No matter how hard things have been for her,  she always shares her smile and never fails to make people laugh.   She truly has impacted and inspired so many people without trying or knowing it.  Cathy is such a blessing to so many!  Without a doubt, to know her is to love her, and I know everyone can agree on that.  She is one of a kind!!!   Her gift to us is her presence and time, now it's time for us to give back to her.  My goal is to try and raise money to alleviate some of the financial burden she has and to help get her back to work. 
So  now I  ask that we all come together and give.  I truly believe if we work together that we can make this happen.
