Adam's Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Our journey with cancer started a couple months ago. Adam started feeling a little tired and slightly run down. At first we didn't think a whole lot about it as it was summer and he worked in a plant without any A/C. After some nagging from me he finally agreed to go to the doctor. A couple weeks later our worst nightmares came to life. Adam was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer that had spread to his liver, lungs and lymph nodes in his abdomen. Hearing that news was devastating. Not only did we have to process this news we had to come home and face our 5 kids and tell them what we ourselves couldn't handle. Then onto tell the rest of our family. To say it was the worst day is putting it lightly. As I would imagine with any cancer diagnosis you instantly become a pin cushion. He immediately started having biopsies and MRI'S. These revealed more of the disease. One MRI showed a small spot in his brain that was "unspecific" and the oncologist didnt seem concerned at this point. The oncologist also had a game plan to jump on this terminal cancer aggressively and maybe be able to turn this into a "chronic" condition. She's hoping he will be able to see all of our kids graduate.  This was great news for us as we had prepared ourselves for the worst. We were overjoyed that we had time. You'll never know how precious time is till you may not have any left. Our joy didnt last long as he stayed very nauseated and couldn't keep any food in. This caused rapid weight loss and a lot of fatigue. Fast forward another couple weeks and his left arm goes numb followed by a seizure. Not knowing exactly what it was we waited. Soon a 2nd seizure came and we went to the nearest ER. Once here we had another MRI which showed the "unspecific" spot was now a brain tumor with a bleed. He was immediately airlifted and put in ICU. We are currently waiting for radiation which will most likely be next week. He will also be getting his port and starting chemo next week as well. Did I mention that we don't have health insurance? Many people have asked how to help or where to donate which brings us here. Thank you from our entire family for any help and or prayers you can offer. We truly appreciate it and don't take your kindness for granted.
