Contribuez au financement d’équipements informatique du Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR)

L'Association des anciens élèves de l'Ecole Normale/Lycée de Rutovu résidant dans la diaspora (AENR/LR) mobilise des fonds pour acquérir treize (13) ordinateurs de bureau et deux (2) ordinateurs portables pour compléter le parc informatique et le réseau informatique existants du Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR) au Burundi. Le coût total du projet est de 20 000 USD. L'achèvement cible de la collecte de fonds est le 31 mai 2022.

Les principaux objectifs du projet sont : Connecter l'école au monde ; Améliorer la qualité globale de l’éducation ; Faciliter l'accès à des informations provenant de sources diversifiées, riches et originales ; Fournir aux étudiants et aux enseignants des outils modernes et efficaces pour la communication et le renforcement des capacités.

L'AENR/LR a été créée en 2020, avec une vision articulée autour de trois piliers : Créer les conditions d'une éducation fondée sur l'excellence ; Réinvestir dans la communauté à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de l'école ("donner en retour") ; Promouvoir les valeurs de paix et de développement. En soutenant la promotion d'une éducation de qualité et le réinvestissement dans la communauté, l'Association cherche à contribuer à jeter les bases de la paix, du développement et de la stabilité dans la communauté de Rutovu, au Burundi, en Afrique et dans le monde.

Le Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR) trouve son origine en 1949 lors de la création de l'École d'Application Pédagogique (EAP) par des missionnaires belges (de la communauté des Pères Blancs). L'école a été rebaptisée École Normale de Rutovu en 1968 lorsqu'elle a été reprise par les Frères de l'Instruction Chrétienne du Canada (FIC). En 1998, elle est devenue une école publique sous convention avec l’Église Catholique et a été rebaptisée Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR) sous la direction de la Congrégation des Frères Bene-Yozefu du Burundi.

Contribute to fund computer equipment for the Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR)

The Association of the alumni of the Ecole Normale/Lycée de Rutovu residing in the diaspora (Association des Anciens Elèves de l’Ecole Normale de Rutovu et du Lycée de Rutovu, AENR/LR) is raising funds to procure thirteen (13) desktops and two (2) laptops to supplement the existing computer equipment and IT network of the Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR) in Burundi. The total cost of the project is USD20,000. The target completion of the fundraising is May 31, 2022.

By supporting the promotion of quality education and reinvestment in the community, the Association seeks to contribute to laying the foundations for peace, development and stability in the Rutovu community, Burundi, Africa and the world.

Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR) has its origin in 1949 when the Ecole d’Application Pédagogique (EAP) was created by Belgian missionaries (the Père Blancs community). The school was renamed Ecole Normale de Rutovu in 1968 when it was taken over by Canadian Catholic Brothers (Frères de l’Instruction Chrétienne, FIC). In 1998, it became a public school under Catholic convention and was renamed Lycée Saint Thomas d'Aquin de Rutovu (LSTAR) under the management by the Congregation of the Bene-Yozefu Brothers of Burundi.
