Queer POC drowning in hospital bills

My friend, who shall remain anonymous, struggles with anxiety disorders and has admitted themselves to the emergency room on multiple occasions because of their struggle with anxiety. Because they are uninsured, the cost of a visit to the emergency room is very costly.

They cannot afford to get the adequate mental help they need, and they are in their final semester of school before transferring out to University in the Spring. They have dropped out twice because of their constant struggle with their mental health, and unexpected family tragedies.

As a fellow survivor of sexual assault, I understand the toll that these harrowing experiences can take on your physical and mental well-being. My friend tries their best to be the light of the room, and being as transparent with their emotions as possible. I know, deep down that they still are in a struggle with themselves, but refuse to give up.

Because of the pandemic, they are unable to find a proficient job that can fit the needs of their family and education. Their school schedule is fixed, and varies from day to day. Their job did not/does not qualify them for unemployment, so they are left to wonder how they will make ends meet.

My friend going back to school to continue their academic goals after such long breaks (resulting from the tragedies), inspired me who also had to take a break from school as a consequence of being blindsided by the unfortunate parts of life. 

My friend is struggling financially, and anything would help. Until they find a job, I know that they can't afford the means to complete the fall semester. I made the fundraiser to enough for one of their hospital bills, or at the very least, enough to find a job.
