Queer Indigenous Student Midwife Needs A Car!
Donation protected
Help a queer Indigenous (Mi’kmaw) midwifery student whose car just broke down!
I am creating this request on behalf of my peer to raise $4700 to replace her car and enable her to continue her studies.
This student’s vehicle broke down shortly after escaping a domestic violence situation. She does not have the resources to purchase a new car while still in school, and would need to take a leave of absence from the program in order to make the money she needs. As midwifery students, having a car is a requirement for our program.
By donating, you are helping our community member stay in school and ensuring that there are culturally safe reproductive healthcare providers available to serve Indigenous clients. Indigenous midwives are essential!
Please share widely! Any amount helps.
