Queer Arab in Danger - Urgent Help Needed

Hi, I am a Queer Arab artist based in Glasgow. Those who know me will know that for years i've tackled producing art work about my queerness in a way that protects myself and my identity. I have had to create a whole new persona which is censored to protect myself after getting threats from my first ever piece years ago.

 

Today, I woke up to endless messages and threats from people close to me back home, saying they have found several articles written about myself and work that has outed my sexuality to them. I am now in danger and am being threatened to be sent home where I will never be able to live a normal and safe life again.

Since receiving the aforementioned messages and threats I have sought out and met with a solicitor who has helped with advising me on how to stay here in Scotland and assisted me with the required application processes and the amount of funding I will need.  

 

Being a recent graduate my circumstance is tricky as my student visa requires me to leave the UK as soon as possible now that I have graduated. I am starting this go fund me desperately looking for help to fund my visa applications and solicitor. If my application is successful I will be granted a graduate visa which will provide me with two additional years of safety in Scotland as I find employment or a sponsorship. Subsequently, I would then obtain a permanent work visa or sponsorship. If the application is unsuccessful my only option will be to seek asylum. 

 

Unfortunately going home is not an option for me, hence this go fund me. I understand that the last couple of years have been financially tough for everyone and I would not be asking if my immediate safety was not in jeopardy. Anything spared will be appreciated beyond words and every share will be incredibly helpful. I extend my gratitude in advance. Thank you!
