Ive contemplated setting up a gofundme for to raise funds to help pay towards my mam’s funeral costs but I’ve done it because I believe my mam deserves the best. Anyone who knows my mam knows of the great woman she is. What an incredible mother grandmother friend & neighbour she is. She is a remarkable woman for one woman. My mam has worked very very hard her whole life from working as a street trader, to working a stall on Dublin’s Moore street everyone knew me mam. She has done so much for people her whole life she’d give anyone her last euro if she thought it would help them. In April 2019 she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and given 12 months to live, she’s still here with us but only barely. She’s looking at weeks maybe even days now, setting this gofundme isn’t going to save her or find a miracle cure as much as I wish it could, but it will relieve the stress and anxiety her, myself and the family have about her funeral and it’s cost. Sadly my mam had no life insurance, no credit union & or no savings, leaving everything to me which has become very very financially difficult. This is my second battle after loosing my dad to this nasty disease also back in 2009 and we only just managed to get back on our feet after that funeral costs I’m afraid of what may happen this time around. I’m asking all my friends & family both near and far to help us give “Big Teresa” the send off she well & truly deserves.
