Financial relief for immunocompromised stylists

Donation protected

There are immunocompromised people
continuing to work and risk their lives in the
midst of the covid_19 worldwide pandemic to
ensure that they do not bankrupt their family. Self employed hairstylists have no access to
emergency funds in a time like this.

(Pictured is my 5 year old daughter’s understanding of this crisis through
play. )

It is important to me that these stylists remain
anonymous at this time. I realize that campaigns
are generally more successful when a person’s
struggle is identified in pictures and stories. I
need to know that as a society we can return to
caring for other humans on empathy alone
rather than identifying with a story. Simply put,
these women, wives, mothers, contributing
members of society are in need.

They are not performing at the level they are
capable of performing knowing that they are at
risk and putting others at risk.  The fear is
real.  Being in a position like this means endless
financial fear and moral conflict.

I acknowledge the need of so many more
families in similar positions.  I encourage others
to set up similar campaigns to support service
providers of all kinds, everywhere. Choosing
between bankruptcy or contributing to the
spread of coronavirus is a cruel place to be
morally and financially.

Community support is needed in order to
support those who are at a greater risk of
contracting the coronavirus. Social distancing is a way that we as service providers can stop the
spread of covid_19.  As a member of the stylist
community, I’m asking for help to support the
families of two immunocompromised stylists
who are continuing to work to ensure their
families are cared for financially.

This is a modest campaign. On average a self
employed hairstylist will net $500-$1000 a
week.

For service providers to help stop the spread of
covid_19, means closing. Social distancing is not
possible, yet some are still working to ensure
they can care for themselves and in one case a 2
month old baby. My goal is to provide enough
funds for 2 stylists in the “greatest risk” area of
contracting as well as spreading the virus, the
opportunity to honor their social obligation of
staying home and still be able to survive financially for the next 3-4 weeks. My goal is to be able to
provide each family with enough funds to survive financially through
the duration of this campaign.

*I will not personally benefit financially in any
way.  I will only benefit by providing relief for
people I love.*

Let’s work together to provide the peace of mind
these two stylists need to care for their family,
themselves and honor their social obligation.

I’m including information on “do’s and don’ts” of social distancing. https://www.theatlantic.com/family/archive/2020/03/coronavirus-what-does-social-distancing-mean/607927/
