Help to get Over the Hump

Well gang, as we all know, 2020 will go down as one of THE WORST years on records.  This morning I awoke and found it even more of a wreck than ever.

My issues though, go back further.  2020 was just the peak, or in some cases for us, the lull before the storm - our problems started in 2016 with Stacey nearly dying of kidney issues caused by a medication she had been prescribed not clearing out of her as it should, followed by my heart attack in 2017, which manifested itself to a larger one in 2018.  We thought we were going to be free and clear of that in 2019, but the car crash that forced me to create this GoFundMe page happened.  And now, the dreaded C word!  Uhh, as much as the previous years have been harrowing with sudden issues, 2020 has been a slow drain that has culminated with this... a need to stop the bleeding.

With the pandemic hitting, and as we have all needed to shelter in place, a few of us were never out of work - we the essential workers.  I am one of these.  My job never shut down (save 1.5 days).  I have been serving our nation's needs operating a store that kept people on line, working from or schooling from home safely, and basically, serving our customers to ease their stay at home.  But when this all started, Stacey's job was considered non-essential - as a matter of fact, her job was considered a hazard, as she tended a salad bar!  And we all know what has become of those!  So, in the long run, without that tiny little trickle of extra funds from her side, and even with stimulus checks arriving, the funds to run our home were running away.  This morning, pay day, I awoke, and found a negative in my account.

In the last month, the car that replaced the one totaled in 2019, required inspection and insurance renewal, not to mention that its overall payments are behind as well.  To pass inspection, it needed break shoes.  The mechanic agreed to hold the deposit of the check - he never said just how long he'd do that, even though I had told him the day I gave it to him to do it that Friday TWO WEEKS AGO.  One of the things with working pay check to pay check is that you learn that when you need something paid for, you adjust to what you can afford with the remainder.  When a check though, sits around just waiting to be deposited, that throws monkey wrenches into the works.  My works just got crunched.  Unless I can find funds just to survive the week, I may not be able to GET to work.

So gang, I am asking for a little help here - just a little - just enough to keep this train rolling for a week.

I thank you for any support you may be able to provide.
