Youth With A Mission

Hi guys!! So a lot of you may know that I was planning on going to Sonoma State this fall, but plans have changed. This summer, God has really put on my heart to follow Him wherever He leads me, no matter my current plans. In the last couple months I have felt an intense calling to mission work, specifically in the program YWAM. Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus and making Him known around the globe. About a month ago, I decided to put college on hold for a year and let God take control of the direction of my life. As of right now, I am enrolled in YWAM Byron Bay. For three months, my team and I will be in a classroom setting five days a week building our relationship with God and learning ways to reach people through Him. While in Australia, my team and I will be doing mission work in local communities as well as in different parts of the country like Melbourne. After the three months are over, my team and I will spend another three months in several countries around the world like Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Cambodia, and Thailand. Arriving with just our backpacks and passports, we will be doing work in the communities, such as building homes, shelters, or churches, and spreading the Gospel to the people we meet along the way. This trip is set up to be extremely impactful for not only the people my team will help, but us as well. Throughout high school I have always saved my money. And after working this summer, along with graduation money, I have saved up enough to pay for my first three months on the trip! But I still need help. My current objective is to encourage forty people to donate $100 which would fund the remainder of my $4,000 goal. ANYTHING will help!! And remember all the funds are going to spreading God's word and helping communities around the globe!
