Love for Lucas

In the  blink of an eye, life can change dramatically.  Heather and Derrik Jacobson are living this scenario right now.  Their beautiful and vibrant two-yr-old son, Lucas,  came down with a seemingly innocent cough later diagnosed as croup around the first of December.  On Monday, December 2, he was hospitalized, treated and later released for his symptoms.  But it wasn't too long after leaving the hospital that Lucas' parents became concerned that he was not breathing well and rushed him back to the hospital.  En route, Lucas stopped breathing.   Upon arrival emergency room staff rushed to his aid,  and then his heart stopped.  They worked tirelessly for 30 minutes to bring him back and get him stabilized.  He was then flown to Seattle Children's for continued care.


 Lucas remains in critical condition while the family prays and awaits the much-needed miracle healing of his brain and body.  Doctors are concerned that brain damage is severe and that  brain swelling will continue.    There are many unknowns in Lucas' recovery and healing, but this family is full of love and trust in God's power to heal.  If you would be willing to help Heather and Derrik with the growing hospital care of their sweet boy, please donate.  Thank you!
