Help My Family, Pregnant Sister to Evacuate Gaza

My name is Leena Abukuwaik, I am fundraising this after much contemplation and hesitation, as I find myself in a desperate situation. I am seeking your support to evacuate my family of 11 from Gaza during this ongoing war. The situation has become unbearable, and I fear for the safety and well-being of my loved ones.

I am seeking your support for my family who is currently trapped in the war-torn region of Gaza, Rafah. The ongoing conflict has devastated their lives, leaving them homeless, vulnerable, and facing the constant threat of death. I am desperate to help them escape this dire situation and provide them with a chance at a safer and more secure future.

The Plight of My Family:

However, as the war in Gaza continues to escalate, they have finally come to the realization that their only chance of survival is to escape the region. They have endured unimaginable suffering, witnessing the destruction of their homes and the loss of loved ones. The constant fear and uncertainty have taken a toll on their physical and mental well-being.

My family consists of six adults and five children, all under the age of 14. My father Faris Saleem, 77 years old, he has many medical problems and with the lack of his daily medications he is suffering so many health complications of heart diseases, high blood pressure and diabetes. My sister Noor Faris, my brother’s family Mohanned Faris, who is still recovering from a hip replacement surgery conducted last summer and my pregnant sister family Bodour Faris. So they are three families in total. All of them are educated and even my two sisters were supposed to earn their Masters degree last December. All of my family members lost their jobs and homes Since the start of the war, they have been forced to flee their homes in the North of Gaza, moving from one area to another in search of safety. They left their houses with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and unfortunately, all their homes were destroyed. The attached pictures of the destruction will give you a glimpse into the magnitude of their loss.

Current Situation:

To date, my family has been displaced five times, enduring unimaginable hardships along the way. For weeks, the men in my family had no choice but to sleep on the streets,Now, they find themselves in Rafah, their last refuge, living in inhumane conditions. The constant threat of an invasion and attack on Rafah looms over them, putting their lives at even greater risk. This is not only their struggle; it is the plight of 1.5 million refugees in Rafah who face the same imminent danger.

Request for Assistance:

I have initiated this fundraising campaign to urgently gather funds to help my family leave Gaza as soon as possible. The total cost to secure their departure is $55,000. This amount includes $5,000 per person for departure fees, which must be paid to an Egyptian side facilitating their safe passage Upon reaching their destination, they will require financial support to cover basic living expenses, including accommodation, food, transportation, and healthcare, until they secure stable employment. Additionally, $5,000 is required for delivery expenses as my pregnant sister will soon undergo a C-section. my family will need approximately $2,000 per month for three months to cover basic living expenses, and an additional $8000 is required for clothing and urgent medical needs. The plan is to apply for an asylum anywhere, the USA, Canada or Europe. plus the go fund me fees which is 2.9% +30 cents for each transaction. approximately $20175
