Send Lucy Abroad

This is my last semester left in order to complete and receive my BFA(Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Visual Communication Design at The Herron School of Art and Design at IUPUI.  That being said, this is my last opportunity to travel abroad with my university before I graduate this May and start my ~official~ adult life and career. I have worked very hard at my education, but there is a worldliness missing that I believe would take my education and readiness for the real world to the next level.

In October, I applied to study abroad in Central Europe with The Herron School of Art and Design. It is a competitive program, extensive application process, and not that many people get selected, but this is something I really wanted to do! Throughout my entire life, the idea of going abroad has seemed absolutely impossible, but at last I have told myself this is something I very intently plan on making a reality, and with this program and your help, it can be.

At the end of November, I was informed that I got accepted into the study abroad program--I was elated! And on top of that, I was awarded a scholarship from Herron to help me with the cost of the program. 

I will be taking a studio art class worth 3 credits while I am in Central Europe. We will be visiting Berlin, Prague, Vienna, and Dresden over 3 weeks from May 23, 2018 to June 13, 2018. 

I currently have two jobs(City BBQ and my design internship), and I have been working very hard as a full time student to raise the approximate $2,000 I have left in order to meet the total cost of this trip, but with my busy schedule and bills to pay it is very hard to work enough to raise that amount of money while also putting my education first. 

I am trying to raise $2000 to pay for the other half of the trip(my plane ticket, meals, room and board, and tuition costs). 

I have never left the country, I've only flown on a plane twice, and my free spirit is itching to soar.  I know there are a lot of people out there who love me and would like to see this trip become a reality. 

I am asking for a small contribution. Everything and anything helps. I definitely know what it's like to be broke. If you donate, I promise to bring you back a free souvenir from Europe, a very cheap post card, or a huge huge hug(your choice).

I am trying to raise this money by May 1st to assure that I will be able to attend this trip. 

Your support would mean literally EVERYTHING to me!!!!!!
