Help Harmony fight the battle with cancer

Let me tell you a little about the strongest, most brave woman I know. Harmony and I have been married and together for 17+ years. We have 3 children, 2 dogs, and a cat. She is an amazing mother, loving wife, admired sister, adored daughter, loyal buffalo bills fan, and true friend. Harmony loves spending time with her family, eating, hiking, camping, and laughing. She has coached girl’s softball for 5
years until cancer took over.
Harmony has been diagnosed with appendix cancer, which happens to be one of the rarest cancers. Statistics show that only 0.5% - 1% of all cancer patients have been diagnosed with this type of cancer. Since it is so rare there are limited treatments due to lack of knowledge.

Since then, Harmony has been a patient at Roswell park for the past 3 years. During that time, she has had 4 surgeries so far. One of those surgeries was an 8 – 10 hour surgery called hipec surgery also known as “hot chemotherapy”. Harmony has had numerous treatments including an experimental pill
which made her very sick and weak.
What you don’t know about Harmony is this cancer and treatment has made it hard to do the things she loves; however, she hasn’t backed down or given up. Harmony has been pushing to still work through everything so that she can keep her insurance and income. Although her job has been understanding, lenient, and empathetic we know it has come to the time where she will no longer be able to push enough to go to work.
In the past couple of months, Harmony has continually been in and out of Roswell’s inpatient care. Roswell is now at the point of saying there is nothing more they can do for her. Harmony and I are not ready to give up. We are researching hospitals across the country that specialize in her type of appendix
cancer. There are very few.
As we try to stay hopeful and positive, bills have been stacking up. We have accumulated expenses for medical bills, medication, and supplies. We will soon lose all medical insurance and it will only get worse. We are afraid that, if we find a place to help, we will not be able to afford the cost of treatment, travel,
etc.… We are not ready to stop hoping that Harmony will see her children grow up. I want her to be able to focus on fighting and not have to worry about how we will afford it.
