Q&M Martial Arts Inc is a 501c3 non for profit, training special needs students of all ages and sponsoring free training for low income families in the Bx, NY over 20 years. Owners Grand Master Mahai has over 50 years of martial arts experience and a retired peace officer.
Master Quinones has 25 years experience. A Disabled Vietnam veteran also has special needs grand children.
Q&M is seeking funding to continue Martial Arts program which will allow us to effectively provide training. Raise and fully integrate the capacities of these special individuals, giving them a purpose in life.
Currently we are not receiving funds or gifts from groups or organization. Solely depend on member’s dues and fundraising to continue our Q&M programs.
For past 3 months have had insufficient funding to pay monthly expenses, including rent, utilities & insurance.
Now have no insurence and recieved turn off notice from ConEd. Without funding are now in process of closing Q&M school. Please help with funding critical for us to continuing martial arts training for our special needs and low income students. Through special training we can continue our mission.
To provide students with the finest instructions of in Martial arts . With 6 aspects: Self-defense, Confidence, Concentration, Discipline, Respect and Physical fitness. Our students learn to develop and enhance thier mind, body and character, physically and mentally. learning to pursue, achieve personal success to become an asset in life for themselves, families, community and country.
Our primary objective is to effectively train, serve, and obtain positive results from students with emphasis on health, and their physical needs. Funding will be used to strengthen the capacity of our activities to include separate programs to monitor, document and reward progress of our students who require more attention.
With funding Q&M will continue to dedicate our lives to assure we touch the hearts of those we are involved with. Filling our students lives with hope, their minds with positive thoughts, their bodies with effective defensive skills, and their lives with achievable goals.
