Gay Games is a world event focused on Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best. It's open for all to participate in over 30 sports and provide for 20 workshops and cultural events for the 10,000 participants coming from 80 countries (when we're back to travelling post-covid).
To plan for and delivery this event we first need to win the bid and extensive work has been undertaking in the planning so far. A positive feasibility study indicates significant success for the event and great benefit to the Queensland and Australian LGBTI+ community, at the event and in the legacy that follows.
The bid has the support of Brisbane City Council, Queensland Government, local business, LGBTI+ sport clubs and some of Brisbane's high profile athletes.
Bidding involves fees to the event's international body and industry sponsors are starting to show interest but we have bid payments to make before we can formally sign sponsors.
We need your help to bring this event to Brisbane!
