Classroom Aquarium

Donation protected
I am seeking funding for a classroom fish aquarium (freshwater 38 gallon tank).  18 students will help with the set-up of the aquarium, as well as research different fish species and debate classroom-wide which fish species they are going to care for.  We already have numerous plants that the students care for, but would like to expand our knowledge to cover basic marine biology and chemistry.  The following link would be an ideal situation in regards to a classroom/school learning experience through our classroom aquarium.

Our students are currently researching the following fish species: angelfish, guppies, molly, pleco, tetras, and glofish.  Their research will help them to better understand the habitat, behaviors, aquarium maintenance, and information needed to start our discussions about the aquarium set-up.

In regards to our goal of $299 (funding goal will increase), complete funding before the start of Christmas Break (Friday, December 20) would be spectacular.  This would allow the purchase of supplies over break, and when the students return on Monday, January 6th we could begin the process of the aquarium being set-up.

Below you may find a itemized invoice with the items required to set-up and maintain this fish aquarium (actual invoice would follow after funding).  Not included is the cost of the provider to come to the classroom and set-up the aquarium, as well as a educational experience from the provider the students will benefit and gain knowledge from.  Our funding goal will increase with donations to ensure we have enough funding to cover the cost.
