Single Mom with Stage 4 Cancer

Our dear friend Rokhsan has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Imaging tests have indicated it has also spread to her liver and lungs, making the diagnosis quite serious and urgent.

We know “Roxy” as a vibrant, fun-loving spirit, a dedicated friend, and an amazing single mother to 12 year old Anela, who is her UNIVERSE. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has effected both of them deeply.

 

As Roxy begins this long medical journey in treatment, which we know will involve at least surgery and chemotherapy, we are aiming to support her in every way we can. She has taken leave from her job and has been isolating due to COVID as she enters treatment. During this time she will need help financially to keep a roof over their head, pay bills, and cover extensive medical expenses.

 

This will be a long journey. Roxy is a fierce and dedicated friend who would be the first to champion support for anyone else in their time of need.

From Roxy:

“I am up against a miracle guys. But the love I have for Anela, is beyond any miracle. It’s endless. It’s breathtaking and it’s eternal. Nothing will ever change that. So the story has to begin and end with the love for my child. The bond we have is like no other… Once treatment starts, I won’t be seeing anyone for a long time. I’m hoping I have a long time. If I don’t, then I lived the best life of love and life more than anyone I know.”
