The Insurance didn't transfer!?!

She sold her home and purchased a town-home and settled into retirement mode and pursued her passion of  Bible study.
On Thursday, November 14, Little Pat was working in her garage.  It was one of the few bitter cold days we experience in Houston so she had a space heater on as she worked. She turned the heater off and went inside the house.
Soon she smelled smoke and opened the door in the laundry room leading to the garage and saw flames! Her hands were shaking so badly that she was unable to dial 9-1-1. Fortunately, an Amazon driver saw the smoke and called the fire department for her.
Little Pat was outside with her neighbors watching her house burn. She listened to the explosions of the tires on her car and the sound of the car windows blowing out.
When the fire was put out the firemen did their investigation. They determined that the fire started where the space heater was located. They were able to confirm that the heater was turned off. Sadly, the heater was not unplugged which allowed the residual heat of the cord on carpet to start the fire.
Little Pat was upset by her loss and not looking forward to dealing with the insurance company to rebuild. Then the next shoe dropped -- she failed to transfer the homeowner insurance from her house to the town home.
We don't know if it was the excitement of her new life, her age, or a horrible  mistake. She thought it was transferred and is now devastated. The restoration company is estimating the rebuild will cost approximately $150,000, which Little Pat does not have.
Her fiends and family are doing what they can to help Little Pat. She is currently living with a neighbor.
Please donate to help this lovely Christian woman. Every dollar donated will be earmarked for the restoration of Little Pat's home and each dollar received is one step closer to Little Pat moving back into her home.
     Thank you and God Bless!
