Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Fund

Donation protected
My Aunt Karen Notsch retires this Friday marking 28 years and 10 months to the day as a Crime Prevention Specialist for the Minneapolis Police Department's 3rd precinct.

Karen's entire career is public service to the city and state she loves. She's kind, selfless, and the most loving person we know. She's the fan favorite at work and adored in the communities she's served.  No doubt her spirit will be missed, especially during football season!

For over a decade she's been battling Multiple Sclerosis, with the last few years being very difficult.  Over the summer she qualified for a trial drug called Mayzent.  At first she was denied because of her age but after a bunch of tests they accepted her.

While she doesn't say much about her condition, two days ago my mother and I received this text, "Yesterday I went shopping at Southdale all by myself for 2 hours.  First time in 10 years.  I think these meds are helping." To hear the excitement in her voice to simply walk was incredible.

While she's eager to retire, Medicare does not cover her current treatment with this trial drug.  I have started this GoFundMe page with my family to raise money for her out of pocket medical costs in battling this disease.

We thank you in advance for any donation that can be made in support of this Bloomington native and public servant of Minnesota.

Regards,
Billy
