Help for my brother

Donation protected
Hi friends. As blessed as I am to have a wonderful family and all of you amazing friends, I am humbled to say
I NEED YOUR HELP!

Here’s the background:
My older brother George is 46 years old and was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer back in 2013. This was a big shock to all of us, as the diagnosis of cancer likely is for anyone. But we had hope:  In Early 2014, George was fortunate enough to go through a stem cell transplant at Hollings Cancer Center where he thought he caught a break as he was told that the cancer was in remission.
At his annual checkup in 2016, however, things took a turn. George was told that the cancer was back, and it came back more aggressive than it was before. Over the years he has spent weeks at MUSC getting chemo, has gone to Duke and was at a point taking medication that the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society helped pay for. This medication cost $3,700 per month, but he was only given $7,400 for the year. That only ended up paying for two months of his medication; the rest was out of pocket.
A couple of months ago, George was invited to be part of a clinical trial at Emory. For the trial, he was to report to Emory every 3 weeks for labs and infusion and they would give him all of the required medications for that month in one day. It required us to drive up to Atlanta, spend the day at the hospital and drive back.
Last Tuesday, September 25, marked two months of George going through the clinical trial. Tuesday is also the day we got a call from Dr. Hoffman giving us news that we didn’t want to hear: George's numbers (cancer cells) have increased by 15%.  Dr. Hoffman stated that George needs to get back on chemo with his oncologist in Murrells Inlet to try to control the Myeloma.
All of the chemo that he has gone through in these last several months has caused him to become weak and tired. His bones are really weak and are to the point to where one wrong move could break a bone, and that could turn into even more of a nightmare for him.

This is why we need your help.

Those who know George know that he is a great mechanic and his business is customizing 4-wheel drive vehicles. Because of this disease, George cannot work as he was once able to and now has to figure out how to pay his shop rent, his mortgage at home, his truck note and just plain living expenses as well as any medical expenses that have to come out of his pocket.

He’s on the waiting list for other cancer foundations for financial help but there is no guarantee of when that may be. We need him to focus on his treatments and fight this disease.

My parents and I have contributed all we can and George really needs some financial help. He is not one to ask for things like this, but I do not know where else to turn. Any donations will be most appreciated and will help cut down on the stress that he and my family already have.

Please pray for George! He WILL get through this! Thanks so much for your support.
