Qamra & Luz Moving OUT to SECURE HOUSING!

Hello, community members, friends, & family! I am Luz and my girlfriend Qamra and I are multiply disabled, chronically ill, queer, trans, colonized people currently sharing an inaccessible apartment with our two cats & two birds. Qamra's previous abusive partner left her in severe financial debt, continues to send mail to this address, and her health has been rapidly declining in the past few months, especially with directly struggling against the effects of dual genocides of her Arab & Palestinian siblings & of trans women worldwide. I (Luz) have been unemployed the past two years and was maintaining financial & access needs through student financial aid but dropped out in response to the hostility of the colonial academic institution. Our current housing and financial situation make it incredibly challenging for us to maintain our current needs with our disabilities--we live on the 2nd floor w/o an elevator, the small space makes it difficult for our mobilities, inconsistent temperature control negatively effecting health conditions, & CPTSD triggers as we are still living in the space my girlfriend survived abuse in. We are looking to raise funds to save to secure housing that doesn’t risk continual re-traumatization as our current space does as well as finding community that we can be in mutual solidarity with during these times.
